Aurobay Signs Contract with AB Volvo for Camshaft Manufacturing

Aurobay and AB Volvo have entered into a five-year "build-to-print" contract, where Aurobay will supply camshafts for AB Volvo’s truck engines.

The contract, to manufacture camshafts for heavy-duty truck engines, is Aurobay’s second in the powertrain component market. The agreement means that Aurobay will reuse manufacturing machines from AB Volvo. This is an example of how Aurobay work together with its partners to re-use as much existing equipment as possible to maximize the utilization of machinery before scrapping and to avoid expensive investments – a technical collaboration that will help to reduce our environmental impact.

The goal is for Aurobay to take over AB Volvo’s camshaft manufacturing and be ready to start production during the first quarter of 2025.
