The Aurobay-powered Lynk & Co Cyan Racing team claim double victory at the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour race weekend in Uruguay

Last weekend, it was Uruguay’s turn to host the TCR World Tour series, where local hero Santiago Urrutia had dominated race 1 in 2023.

The Aurobay-powered Lynk & Co Cyan Racing team started the weekend by claiming pole position after a strategic P10 in qualification. With the reverse grid in Sunday’s race 2, this offered them another first row start on this demanding circuit. The team brought home two wins: in race 1, Yann Ehrlacher made it onto the top step of the podium, while Thed Björk placed a great third. Race 2 then saw Thed Björk scoring an impressive win.

The Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars utilize Aurobay powertrain technology and share the same base engines as those as used in Lynk & Co road cars. The race car engines are further refined for racing purposes by Cyan Racing to achieve a power output of 350hp and 420Nm. The two-liter engines are turbocharged with direct injection and are subject to strict regulations in terms of power output and durability. Following the success of their collaboration with Aurobay, the Lynk & Co Cyan Racing team now head to China for the next race weekend on 18-20 October. Stay tuned for updates.
